TSA Frisky

A nine-person student team, a twenty-week production, and a headset almost nobody owned. I ran the sprints, the asset pipeline, and the playtest program that got builds in front of Vive owners outside campus.

The problem

Nine students, a twenty-week production, and a platform almost nobody on the team owned. VR playtesting was the bottleneck — every test needed a physical room, a headset, and a person who had never played the build before, and none of those three were reliably available on campus.

What I did

I ran the sprint cadence and held the scope, but the thing that actually moved the project was treating playtest access as a scheduling problem rather than a research one. Builds went out publicly so Vive owners outside the program could run them on hardware we never had to book. I also owned the asset pipeline, storyboards, and the trailer that carried the game into competition.

Outcome

The game shipped playable in twenty weeks and took a top-5 finish at the 2017 E3 College Game Competition. It was featured on Rooster Teeth's and YouTube's official E3 stream, reaching over 200,000 viewers, and won SCAD incubator funding.
